Job Summary
We are looking for a qualified and responsible Lab Technician to join our hospital laboratory team. The candidate will be responsible for sample collection, processing, testing, maintaining laboratory records, and ensuring accuracy and safety in laboratory operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Collect blood and other clinical samples from patients as per hospital protocols.
- Properly label, handle, transport, and process samples.
- Perform routine laboratory investigations as assigned.
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment and analyzers.
- Ensure proper quality control of laboratory tests.
- Record and maintain accurate test results and laboratory registers.
- Follow infection control, biomedical waste management, and laboratory safety protocols.
- Ensure proper storage of reagents, samples, and laboratory consumables.
- Check expiry dates and maintain adequate stock of laboratory supplies.
- Report abnormal or critical results promptly to the concerned authority.
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the laboratory.
- Assist in calibration, maintenance, and troubleshooting of laboratory equipment.
- Follow hospital SOPs and laboratory protocols.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and professional conduct.
- Coordinate with doctors, nurses, and other hospital departments when required.
- Participate in internal training, audits, and quality improvement activities.
- Complete proper shift handover and maintain continuity of laboratory services.
- Perform other laboratory-related duties assigned by the Laboratory In-charge.
Qualification
- DMLT / B.Sc. Medical Laboratory Technology or equivalent recognized qualification.
- Valid professional registration wherever applicable.
Candidate Requirements
- Candidates with 2–5 years of hospital/laboratory experience will be preferred.
- Raipur-local candidates preferred.
- Candidates should be willing to work in rotational shifts, including night shifts.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently as well as in a team.
- Responsible, punctual, and disciplined.
- Hospital/diagnostic laboratory experience preferred.
Salary: As per qualification, experience, and hospital norms.
Location: Agrawal Institute of Medical Sciences Pvt. Ltd., Raipur, Chhattisgarh.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
