Senior Engineer – Flutter (Android / Android Auto)

About the Role
We are looking for a Senior Engineer with strong Flutter and native Android experience to build and operate a production mobile application, with a particular focus on Android Auto, connected-car experiences, and voice-enabled features.
This role is ideal for an engineer who has maintained a live mobile application beyond launch and uses production metrics such as crash rate, startup time, stability, and engagement to guide engineering decisions.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain mobile applications using Flutter and Dart with native Android components.
- Develop Android Auto applications and connected-car experiences.
- Build voice-enabled mobile experiences.
- Integrate backend APIs and third-party SDKs.
- Improve application performance, stability, reliability, and user experience.
- Troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
- Monitor production metrics including startup time, crash rate, stability, and engagement.
- Maintain applications through Android OS upgrades, API deprecations, and device fragmentation.
- Implement and maintain state management using approaches such as Bloc, Provider, or Riverpod.
- Collaborate with engineering teams through Git, standups, technical discussions, and code delivery.
Required Skills & Experience
- 3–5 years of experience across Flutter/Dart and native Android development.
- Strong experience with Kotlin and/or Java.
- Solid understanding of the Android SDK, Android lifecycle, and Jetpack components.
- Experience with Flutter state management such as Bloc, Provider, or Riverpod.
- Experience integrating REST APIs and third-party SDKs.
- Experience working with Android Auto or connected-car applications.
- Experience with production mobile applications handling 10K+ DAU.
- Experience maintaining an application in production for more than one year.
- Demonstrated ability to improve app performance, stability, or engagement using production metrics.
- Strong Git skills and a metrics-driven approach to engineering.

How You'll Work
This is a remote contract role. You should be comfortable participating in daily standups, weekly connects, technical discussions, and asynchronous collaboration. The role requires willingness to spend up to 10 days in the office during onboarding.
Pay: ₹1,400,000.00 - ₹1,800,000.00 per month
