Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Billing Executive to oversee our billing operations. In this role, you will be responsible for creating precise financial invoices, managing account receivables, and addressing client payment inquiries. Your primary goal is to ensure the company's financial transactions run efficiently and comply with all regulatory standards.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Invoice Generation: Prepare, verify, and dispatch accurate electronic or physical customer invoices.
- Account Tracking: Monitor outstanding customer balances and manage regular account reconciliation.
- Discrepancy Resolution: Investigate billing errors, rejected claims, or transaction disputes promptly.
- Payment Collection: Follow up on overdue accounts and issue reminders to minimize bad debt.
- Database Maintenance: Keep the corporate accounts receivable ledger and customer financial profiles updated.
- Financial Reporting: Generate periodic reports on billing statuses, collections, and cash flow analysis.
- Compliance Checks: Ensure all invoicing meets statutory taxation norms, such as local sales tax or GST.
- Cross-Team Collaboration: Partner with sales and finance departments to optimize revenue cycles.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or commerce (B.Com) preferred.
- Experience: Proven work history in a billing, accounts receivable, or data entry role.
- Software Skills: High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and dedicated billing systems (e.g., Tally Prime, QuickBooks, or SAP).
- Mathematical Proficiency: Strong baseline capability to calculate complex percentages, discounts, and tax values accurately.
- Communication Skills: Confident written and verbal skills for resolving direct client payment disputes professionally.
- Critical Thinking: Superior attention to detail to find tiny transactional errors before sending bills.
