Job Summary:
We are hiring a Purchase Executive to manage day-to-day procurement and actively develop our vendor network. The role includes frequent vendor visits—own two-wheeler is required. (fuel reimbursement provided).
Key Responsibilities:
- Handle purchase of mechanical, electrical, and fabrication components
- Develop new vendors for machining, sheet metal, and outsourced assemblies
- Negotiate pricing, delivery, and payment terms
- Visit suppliers regularly for follow-ups, inspections, and development
- Coordinate with design, stores, and accounts departments
- Maintain proper documentation (POs, quotations, supplier records)
Requirements:
- 2+ years in purchasing/vendor development in a manufacturing or automation company
- Good understanding of drawings, BOM, and fabrication processes
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Proficient in Excel, email, and basic ERP tools
- Own vehicle is mandatory for local travel (travel allowance will be provided)
Preferred:
- Experience in welding machines, automation systems, or SPMs
- Knowledge of local vendors in [Insert city/region like Pune, Ahmedabad, etc.]
