Job Summary
LHA Hotels is looking for a hardworking and dedicated Kitchen Steward (KST) to join our Food & Beverage team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in the kitchen and stewarding areas while ensuring all kitchen equipment, utensils, and dishes are cleaned and available for daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Wash and sanitize dishes, cutlery, glassware, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, stewarding area, and dishwashing station.
- Operate dishwashing equipment safely and efficiently.
- Clean kitchen floors, walls, drains, workstations, and equipment as per the cleaning schedule.
- Collect and dispose of waste following hotel hygiene standards.
- Ensure cleaned utensils and equipment are properly stored.
- Assist chefs with basic kitchen support when required.
- Handle cleaning chemicals safely and follow all safety procedures.
- Report damaged equipment or maintenance issues to the supervisor.
- Follow hotel SOPs, food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards.
- Support the kitchen team during busy service periods and special events.
- Perform other stewarding duties as assigned by the Chief Steward or Executive Chef.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a hotel or restaurant is preferred.
- Basic knowledge of kitchen hygiene and sanitation practices.
- Ability to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays.
- Physically fit and able to perform manual cleaning tasks.
- Good teamwork and communication skills.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
