Design and Development:
Create and modify PLC programs using various programming languages (e.g., ladder logic, sequential function charts).
Develop and implement control logic for automated systems.
Design and document control system schematics and diagrams.
Assess client requirements and translate them into functional specifications.
Implementation and Testing:
Configure PLC hardware and software.
Install and commission PLC systems.
Test and validate PLC programs to ensure they meet functional requirements and safety standards.
Maintenance and Troubleshooting:
Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with PLC systems.
Maintain and update PLC programs and hardware.
Optimize system performance and efficiency.
Collaboration and Communication:
Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams.
Communicate technical information to clients and stakeholders.
Provide technical support and training.
Knowledge and Skills:
Strong understanding of PLC programming languages and automation technologies.
Knowledge of electrical engineering principles and industrial automation systems.
Problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
PLC (Programmable Logic Controller) Programmer designs, develops, and maintains control systems for automated industrial processes, writing efficient logic code, integrating systems, and ensuring optimal machine performance.
Familiarity with SCADA systems and other related technologies.
Knowledge of safety regulations and standards.
