Job Description – Sales Executive (Chennai)

Role Overview
The Sales Executive will be responsible for managing end-to-end sales operations at the Chennai branch, including customer relationship management, order processing, collections, market intelligence, and coordination with operations. The role requires strong market understanding of fruits/produce and the ability to drive sales while ensuring efficient stock movement.
Key ResponsibilitiesSales & Business Development
· Drive daily sales planning and execution
· Add and onboard new customers to expand market reach
· Meet customers regularly in market and retail outlets
· Suggest suitable pricing strategies based on market trends
· Provide input on stock import decisions based on demand trends
· Must Travel in south of India to several markets for new customer developments.
Order & Customer Management
· Handle customer enquiries and order booking on a daily basis
· Maintain accurate and real-time order records
· Provide regular updates to customers on stock availability, pricing, and quality
· Address customer complaints and ensure timely resolution
Collections & Financial Coordination
· Follow up for payments and outstanding dues
· Monitor customer credit limits and ensure timely collections
· Ensure minimal overdue outstanding and enforce credit discipline
· Maintain proper ledger tracking
Stock & Operations Coordination
· Coordinate loading, unloading, and vehicle booking
· Work closely with cold storages for smooth inventory movement
· Monitor stock availability and reconcile discrepancies
· Manage stock transfers between locations
Market Intelligence
· Track market prices, demand-supply trends, and stock movement
· Provide updates to management for pricing decisions
· Analyze competitor activity and consumer trends
Branch Operations & Coordination
· Supervise repacking activities and quality checks
· Coordinate with operations, logistics, and finance teams
· Assign and monitor tasks for branch staff
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
· Order accuracy and real-time record management
· Customer satisfaction and retention
· Sales growth and new customer acquisition
· Timely collections and reduction in overdue outstanding
· Stock reconciliation accuracy
· Market intelligence reporting
Qualifications & Skills
· Graduate (preferred)
· 2–5 years of experience in sales / FMCG / fruits & vegetables / supply chain
· Strong understanding of mandi/fruit market operations
· Good negotiation and communication skills
· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
· Basic knowledge of Excel / ERP systems
· Based out of Locality near Koyambedu fruit market or Chettipedu, Kern Agro cold storage
