Position: Billing Sr. Engineer

Job Summary
The Billing Engineer will be responsible for managing contractor billing, contract administration, and coordination with project and accounts teams to ensure accurate and timely billing and payments. The role involves preparation and certification of RA bills, maintaining billing records, and ensuring compliance with contractual and financial procedures.
Key ResponsibilitiesContract & Vendor Management
- Assist in contractor search and finalization in coordination with the project and management team.
- Manage contract administration, including drafting and handling contract variations, amendments, and extensions.
- Maintain proper documentation and records of all contracts and agreements.
Billing & Documentation
- Prepare and process Running Account (RA) Bills of contractors on a monthly basis.
- Perform physical verification of bills with contractors at site through Joint Measurement Records (JMR).
- Ensure accurate preparation and certification of contractor bills as per project progress.
- Prepare monthly reconciliation reports in coordination with the Estimation Department.
ERP & Work Order Management
- Prepare and issue Work Orders through the ERP system.
- Ensure parking of contractor bills in the ERP system for approval and payment processing.
- Maintain updated billing and work order records within the ERP platform.
Payment Coordination
- Prepare monthly contractor payment lists.
- Follow up with the Accounts Department for timely payment processing.
- Ensure authorization of bills from the concerned authorities before forwarding to accounts.
Debit Notes & Recovery
- Prepare Debit Notes for recovery related to rework or faulty work based on recommendations from the site team.
- Ensure proper deduction and documentation against contractor payments.
Coordination & Communication
- Coordinate closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers, and Estimation Team to ensure accurate billing.
- Maintain clear communication across departments to avoid delays in project execution.
Record Keeping & Compliance
- Maintain organized records of contracts, bills, and billing reports.
- Ensure all documentation is stored systematically and accessible for audits or reviews.
- Ensure adherence to company policies and billing procedures.
Key Skills Required
- Knowledge of construction billing processes and RA billing
- Understanding of contract management and documentation
- Familiarity with ERP systems
- Strong analytical and reconciliation skills
- Good communication and coordination abilities
- Attention to accuracy and documentation
Qualification
- BE / Diploma in Civil Engineering or relevant field.
Experience
- 5 – 10 years of experience in billing, contractor billing, or project billing within the construction/real estate industry.
