Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled IT Hardware and Networking Specialist to maintain and optimize our organization's IT infrastructure. The ideal candidate will be responsible for troubleshooting, maintaining, and improving hardware, network systems, and related IT services. This role involves ensuring smooth operation and high performance of networks and hardware devices, minimizing downtime, and securing systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Hardware Support:
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop computers, laptops, printers, and other hardware devices.
- Perform routine hardware maintenance, upgrades, and replacements.
- Troubleshoot hardware issues and repair or replace defective components.
- Ensure proper asset management and tracking of all IT hardware.
- Network Administration:
- Set up, configure, and maintain network equipment (routers, switches, firewalls, etc.).
- Monitor and optimize network performance, ensuring minimal downtime.
- Troubleshoot and resolve network-related issues.
- Implement and manage LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and VPN systems.
- Ensure network security by configuring and monitoring firewalls, antivirus software, and intrusion detection systems.
- Technical Support:
- Provide technical assistance and support to employees regarding hardware and network issues.
- Diagnose and resolve software and hardware issues remotely or on-site.
- Manage user accounts and access permissions in line with security protocols.
- IT Infrastructure Management:
- Maintain an organized IT infrastructure, documenting network setups and hardware configurations.
- Ensure backup systems and disaster recovery protocols are in place and tested regularly.
- Collaborate with the IT team to plan and implement system upgrades and improvements.
- Security and Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with IT security policies and practices.
- Implement security solutions for hardware and network systems, protecting them from potential threats.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of company data and network resources.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (preferred).
- Proven experience (6 month to 2 year) in IT hardware maintenance and network administration.
- Strong knowledge of hardware components, network configurations, and troubleshooting techniques.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Good communication and customer service skills
