Job Summary
We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Part-Time Designer to assist our team in fabric selection and coordination. The role requires visiting our store for approximately 6 hours per week to match fabrics and provide design recommendations for production.
Key Responsibilities
- Visit the Symphony Furnishings store for up to 6 hours per week.
- Select and coordinate suitable fabrics, textures, patterns, and colors.
- Provide fabric matching recommendations for curtains, upholstery, cushions, and other furnishing products.
- Assist the production team by ensuring selected materials complement the overall design concept.
- Stay updated with current interior design and furnishing trends.
- Maintain organized records of fabric selections and project recommendations.
Requirements
- Background in Interior Design, Textile Design, Fashion Design, or related fields.
- Good understanding of fabric types, colors, patterns, and material coordination.
- Strong aesthetic sense and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and provide practical design solutions.
- Excellent communication and coordination skills.
- Prior experience in home furnishings or interior design is advantage.
Working Schedule
