Job Summary
Suburban Residency, a newly established 3-star hotel in Kottayam, is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Accounts & Back Office Executive to manage day-to-day financial and administrative operations. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate financial reporting, smooth back-office coordination, and support overall hotel operations.
Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & Financial Operations
- Maintain daily accounts, including accounts payable and receivable
- Prepare invoices, process payments, and track outstanding balances
- Reconcile daily revenue reports from Front Office and F&B outlets
- Handle cash management, bank deposits, and expense tracking
- Assist in preparing monthly financial statements and reports
- Coordinate with auditors and support statutory compliance
- Maintain petty cash and ensure proper documentation
Back Office Administration
- Maintain and organize financial, vendor, and administrative records
- Support procurement and coordinate with Store & Purchase Executive
- Assist in payroll processing by managing attendance and leave records
- Handle staff documentation and basic HR administrative tasks
- Ensure effective coordination between departments
Compliance & Controls
- Ensure adherence to hotel accounting procedures and internal controls
- Verify bills and invoices for accuracy and approval
- Assist in tax-related documentation (GST/VAT or applicable laws)
- Maintain confidentiality of financial and employee data
Reporting & Coordination
- Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly MIS reports
- Monitor departmental expenses and support cost control efforts
- Provide administrative and reporting support to management
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B.Com), Accounting, or Finance
- 2–4 years of experience in accounting or back-office roles (hospitality preferred)
- Knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting
- Proficiency in MS Excel and accounting software (Tally/QuickBooks or similar)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Good communication and coordination abilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in a hotel or hospitality environment
- Familiarity with hotel PMS systems
- Knowledge of local tax regulations and compliance
