Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Purchase Engineer with expertise in Bought-Out Components procurement for industrial machinery and SPM manufacturing. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of engineering components, vendor development, commercial negotiations, and procurement planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Procure bought-out mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and automation components.
- Source suppliers, obtain quotations, prepare comparative statements, and negotiate the best commercial terms.
- Issue Purchase Orders (POs) and ensure timely procurement through ERP.
- Coordinate with Design, Production, Projects, Stores, Quality, and Accounts departments.
- Develop new vendors and maintain strong supplier relationships.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure on-time delivery and avoid production delays.
- Resolve supplier quality and delivery issues.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities through alternate sourcing and value engineering.
- Maintain procurement records, vendor database, and purchase documentation.
Experience in Bought-Out Components
Candidates should have experience in procuring:
- Electric Motors & Gearboxes
- Pumps & Blowers
- Pneumatic Components (FRL Units, Cylinders, Solenoid Valves, Fittings)
- Hydraulic Components
- Bearings & Power Transmission Products
- Sensors, Proximity Switches, Limit Switches & Encoders
- PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, Contactors, Relays, MCCBs & MCBs
- Industrial Valves, Actuators, Pressure Gauges & Flow Meters
- Fasteners, Standard Hardware & Machine Elements
- Linear Guideways, Ball Screws & Couplings
- Industrial Cables, Connectors, Cable Glands & Accessories
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of engineering drawings and Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Experience in vendor development and supplier evaluation.
- Excellent negotiation and commercial skills.
- Proficiency in ERP software and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong planning, communication, and problem-solving skills.
