Role Description The Academic Counselor at BrightCHAMPS is a full-time remote role focused on guiding learners and families through their educational journey on the platform. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting virtual counseling sessions, understanding students’ academic needs and interests, and recommending appropriate BrightCHAMPS courses and learning paths. The counselor will provide ongoing academic advising, track student progress, and collaborate with instructors and internal teams to support learning outcomes. The role also involves communicating regularly with parents or guardians, addressing queries, and sharing insights on student performance and development. Academic Counselors are expected to maintain accurate records, use digital tools for scheduling and reporting, and contribute to improving counseling processes and student engagement.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skills in Student Counseling and Academic Advising to support learners’ educational goals and well-being.
- Strong Communication abilities to engage effectively with students, parents, and teams in a remote environment.
- Experience or training in Career Counseling to guide learners toward suitable future academic and career pathways.
- Background in Education or related fields, with an understanding of modern learning methodologies and edtech ecosystems.
- Relevant bachelor’s degree
- Comfort with digital tools, virtual meeting platforms, and CRM or student management systems.
- Empathy, active listening, and problem-solving skills to address diverse learner needs.
- Prior experience in academic counseling, school advisory roles, or edtech is highly beneficial.
Pay: ₹300,000.00 - ₹600,000.00 per year
