Job Summary
We are seeking a passionate and result-oriented Career Counsellor to guide prospective students in making informed decisions about their education and career paths. The ideal candidate will be responsible for counselling students, understanding their aspirations, recommending suitable programs, and supporting the admission process from inquiry to enrollment.
Key Responsibilities
- Counsel prospective students and parents regarding educational programs, career opportunities, and skill development pathways.
- Understand students' academic backgrounds, career goals, and interests to provide personalized guidance.
- Explain course offerings, curriculum, certification benefits, and career outcomes effectively.
- Handle inquiries generated through calls, walk-ins, social media, website leads, and referral channels.
- Conduct follow-ups with prospective students to convert leads into enrollments.
- Maintain accurate records of student interactions and admissions data in the CRM system.
- Organize and participate in career seminars, workshops, webinars, and educational events.
- Collaborate with the admissions and marketing teams to achieve enrollment targets.
- Stay updated on industry trends, educational programs, and career opportunities to provide accurate guidance.
- Build strong relationships with students and ensure a positive counselling experience.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline (Master's degree preferred).
- 1–4 years of experience in educational counselling, admissions, student recruitment, or sales.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong counselling and relationship-building abilities.
- Ability to understand student needs and provide customized career guidance.
- Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.
- Target-oriented mindset with a student-first approach.
Preferred Skills
- Strong persuasion and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Experience in the education, training, or ed-tech sector will be an added advantage.
