About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Social Media Monitoring Executive to track trends, current news, and specific topics across major social media platforms. The role involves continuously monitoring online conversations, identifying emerging trends and relevant developments, and compiling clear, structured reports and presentations for internal teams. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor trends, current news, and assigned topics across social media platforms including Twitter (X), Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Reddit.
- Track hashtags, keywords, accounts, and communities relevant to assigned topics on a daily basis.
- Identify emerging trends, viral content, and breaking news early and escalate important developments to the concerned team promptly.
- Capture and document relevant posts, discussions, and content (screenshots, links, summaries) in an organized manner.
- Maintain daily/weekly monitoring logs and trackers in spreadsheets.
- Prepare periodic reports and presentations summarizing key trends, conversations, and insights.
- Follow reliable news sources and cross-verify information observed on social media before reporting.
- Coordinate with team members to ensure complete coverage of assigned platforms and topics.
- Flag misinformation, negative mentions, or sensitive content as per team guidelines.
Required Skills
- Strong familiarity with major social media platforms: Twitter (X), Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and Reddit.
- Keen interest in current affairs, news, and digital/social media trends.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) — ability to read and maintain spreadsheets, prepare reports, and create basic presentations.
- Good written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to summarize large volumes of information clearly.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and respond quickly to breaking developments.
Preferred / Good to Have
- Exposure to social media monitoring or listening tools (e.g., Google Alerts, TweetDeck/X Pro, Brandwatch, Meltwater) — not mandatory.
- Basic understanding of hashtags, engagement metrics, and platform algorithms.
- Internship or project experience in media, journalism, digital marketing, or research.
Qualifications
- Graduate in any discipline (Mass Communication, Journalism, Marketing, or related fields preferred).
- 0–1 year of relevant experience; freshers are welcome to apply.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
