Dance TeacherJob Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Dance Teacher to provide engaging dance instruction and inspire students to develop their creativity, confidence, coordination, and performance skills. The ideal candidate should have strong dance knowledge, excellent teaching abilities, and a passion for working with students of different ages and skill levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and conduct structured dance classes for students.
- Teach appropriate dance techniques, movements, routines, and choreography.
- Train students in styles such as classical, contemporary, Bollywood, hip-hop, folk, or other relevant forms.
- Prepare students for performances, competitions, cultural programs, and school events.
- Create age-appropriate and engaging choreography.
- Monitor students’ progress and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain discipline and a positive, inclusive classroom environment.
- Conduct rehearsals and coordinate dance performances.
- Encourage students to develop confidence, creativity, teamwork, and stage presence.
- Ensure proper warm-up, stretching, and safe dance practices during classes.
- Maintain attendance and progress records when required.
- Collaborate with teachers and school staff for cultural and extracurricular activities.
Qualifications and Skills
- Diploma or degree/certification in Dance, Performing Arts, or a related field preferred.
- Previous dance teaching or performance experience is preferred.
- Strong knowledge of one or more recognized dance forms.
- Good choreography and performance skills.
- Excellent communication and classroom-management skills.
- Energetic, patient, creative, and encouraging personality.
- Ability to work with students of different ages and abilities.
