Description
As a Senior Networking / Hardware Engineer , you will be responsible for managing, maintaining, and supporting the organization’s network infrastructure, hardware systems, and IT operations. You will work closely with internal teams, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth functioning of network systems, server environments, and end-user infrastructure. This role requires strong expertise in networking, hardware troubleshooting, system administration, and IT infrastructure management.
Responsibilities
You will be working as a Senior Networking / Hardware Engineer, responsible for ensuring stable, secure, and efficient IT infrastructure operations. You would be required to handle network administration, hardware support, troubleshooting activities, and infrastructure improvements.
Your key Responsibilities will include:
- Configuring, installing, and maintaining network devices including routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points.
- Monitoring network performance and troubleshooting connectivity, security, and performance-related issues .
- Managing LAN/WAN infrastructure and ensuring reliable network availability.
- Performing installation, maintenance, upgrades, and troubleshooting of:
- Desktops
- Laptops
- Servers
- Printers
- Peripheral devices
- Managing and maintaining server systems, backups, and IT infrastructure documentation .
- Performing system diagnostics and resolving hardware/software-related issues .
- Implementing preventive maintenance activities for network and hardware systems.
- Ensuring network security standards and supporting firewall management activities.
- Coordinating with vendors for hardware procurement, warranty support, and technical assistance.
- Managing IT support tickets and ensuring timely resolution of technical issues.
- Supporting day-to-day office IT operations and ensuring business continuity.
- Maintaining updated records of assets, configurations, and infrastructure changes.
Required Skills
Primary Technical Skills
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Networking, Hardware Engineering, or IT Infrastructure Support.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts including:
- TCP/IP
- DNS
- DHCP
- VPN
- VLAN
- Routing & Switching
- Hands-on experience configuring and troubleshooting:
- Routers
- Switches
- Firewalls
- Wireless Access Points
- Network Security Devices
- Strong experience in hardware troubleshooting and system maintenance.
- Knowledge of server environments including:
- Windows Server
- Linux Server
- Experience with LAN/WAN setup, monitoring, and troubleshooting.
- Understanding of backup management, system recovery, and infrastructure documentation.
- Ability to analyze technical issues and provide effective solutions independently.
Secondary Technical Skills
- Experience with CCTV systems, biometric devices, and access control systems .
- Knowledge of IT asset management and hardware lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and basic virtualization concepts.
- Experience coordinating with hardware/software vendors.
- Understanding of IT security practices and endpoint management.
Certifications

- CCNA / CCNP – Preferred
