Job Summary:
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Store In charge to manage the day-to-day operations of our store. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in inventory control, material handling, and stock documentation. This position requires coordination with various departments and adherence to company policies on storage and safety.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate inventory records and manage stock levels efficiently.
- Receive and inspect incoming materials for quantity and quality.
- Issue materials as per request and maintain proper documentation (GRNs, issue slips., etc).
- Conduct periodic physical stock audits and reconcile with system records.
- Ensure safe, clean, and organized storage of materials and consumables.
- Coordinate & Ensure with the purchase, accounts and user departments for smooth material flow.
- Monitor shelf life and manage disposal of obsolete/expired stock.
- Generate Periodically Stock / Inventory reports.
- Supervise junior store staff or helpers.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards in store operations.
- Manage the receipt, storage, and issuance of a variety of items including college stationery, Civil / Building materials, Electricals, Plumbing items and general maintenance supplies.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in any discipline (preferably in logistics, supply chain, or store management).
- Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Store In charge, preferably in an institutional or Multi-departmental setup.
- Strong understanding of store operations, stock control, and documentation.
- Proficient in using inventory management software (Tally, SAP, or similar ERP systems) and MS Excel.
