Role Overview:
We are seeking a highly driven and articulate Academic Counsellor to manage and convert prospective clients primarily from the US market. The role involves end-to-end ownership of the client journey—from initial inquiry to enrolment—while delivering a consultative, high-trust advisory experience.
This position requires working in US time zones and demands strong communication skills, cultural sensitivity, and a results-oriented mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Student Counselling & Sales Conversion
- Engage with inbound and outbound leads from the US market via calls, emails, and virtual meetings
- Understand client aspirations, academic background, and career goals
- Recommend suitable products/courses/programs aligned with their objectives
- Drive high-quality consultative conversations to convert leads into enrollments
- Handle objections effectively and close sales within defined timelines
2. Lead Management & Follow-ups
- Maintain a structured follow-up system for all leads
- Track interactions and update CRM regularly with accurate details
- Re-engage cold and warm leads to maximize conversions
- Ensure minimal lead leakage and high response rates
3. Product & Market Expertise
- Develop in-depth understanding of the programs offered (curriculum, outcomes, pricing, USP)
- Stay updated on US region trends, client expectations, and competitive offerings
- Clearly communicate value propositions tailored to region-specific audience preferences
4. Revenue & Target Ownership
- Achieve monthly/quarterly sales targets (enrollments + revenue + collections)
- Maintain high conversion ratios across the funnel
- Contribute to team revenue goals and business growth
5. Client Experience, Relationship Management & Collaboration
- Build trust and long-term rapport with prospective clients
- Ensure a smooth onboarding experience post-enrollment
- Act as a single point of contact during the decision-making journey
- Work closely with marketing, product, and operations teams
Education & Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree (Master’s preferred)
- 3–5 years of experience in counselling/sales (preferably in ed-tech or international education)
- Experience handling US or international markets is highly preferred
Skills & Competencies:
- Excellent spoken and written English (neutral/global accent preferred)
- Strong sales, negotiation, and closing skills
- Ability to build rapport quickly with international clients
- High ownership and accountability for targets
- Comfortable working in night shifts (US time zones)
- CRM proficiency (e.g., Zoho)

Compensation Structure:
- Fixed Salary + High Performance Incentives (uncapped)
