Position: Manager - Cost & Estimation
Location: Bangalore and GGN

Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic Sr. Manager to oversee all activities of the Commercial Department. This role requires hands-on job knowledge and capability to handle all commercial operations while distributing workload effectively. The position is crucial for managing tendering, estimation, post-award activities, and vendor management across our pan-India operations.
Key Responsibilities
Tendering & Estimation
- Prepare comprehensive rate analysis on Projexe Software for all tenders across India
- Coordinate with procurement team to obtain competitive rates from minimum 3 back-to-back vendors based on tender packages
- Develop and maintain comparative statements for B2B vendors
- Attend pre-bid meetings, negotiations, and client presentations
- Conduct site visits prior to submitting quotations
- Analyze tender documents and prepare detailed cost estimates
Post Award Management
- Award projects on software systems and split rates as required
- Prepare, track, and manage project budgets on designated software platforms
- Finalize suitable sub-vendors package-wise and negotiate commercial terms
- Issue work orders post signing of Standard Contract documents
- Track Non-Tendered (NT) items, prepare costing, and negotiate with clients for commercial closure
- Manage NT items for sub-vendors, finalize rates prior to execution, and issue work orders
- Drive onboarding of new sub-vendors through established PO processes
Technical & Commercial Excellence
- Ensure thorough understanding of Order specifications and Bill of Quantities (BOQ)
- Interpret technical drawings and calculate quantities from CAD drawings when required
- Identify Non-Tendered items at site that differ from BOQ specifications
- Prepare rate analysis for NT items and coordinate approvals with Client PMC
- Assess sub-vendor work quality and implement performance-based debits when necessary
Process Improvement & Compliance
- Ensure all activities follow pre-set protocols and company standards
- Implement and improve working systems to increase departmental efficiency and productivity
- Maintain accurate documentation and reporting for all commercial activities
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in commercial processes
Required Qualifications
Education & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Civil (BE. Civil) or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in similar commercial/estimation role
- Experience in interior fit-out or construction industry preferred
- Knowledge of tendering processes and contract management
Technical Skills
- Advanced proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel
- Experience with estimation software (Projexe Software knowledge preferred)
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and CAD files
- Understanding of BOQ analysis and rate calculations
- Knowledge of vendor management and procurement processes

- Excellent communication skills with management, clients, and vendors

- Hindi language proficiency preferred for pan-India operations

Working Conditions
- Willingness to travel to pan-India branches as per company Travel Policy
- Site visits required for project assessment and vendor evaluation
- Office-based role with field work components
- Own conveyance (bike/car) preferred for mobility
