About the role
We are a consumer mobile app focused on strengthening the relationship between fathers and sons (and father figures) through guided activities, shared memory journals, and AI-powered coaching, conflict resolution, and reflection tools. We are weeks away from launching on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store, and we are looking for our first dedicated marketing hire to take the product to market and build an audience from the ground up.
This is a hands-on, full-stack marketing role. You will own both the strategy (how we position, launch, and grow) and the execution (the content that actually goes out across platforms). You should be equally comfortable writing a go-to-market plan and editing a short-form video the same week. This is ideal for someone who wants real ownership of a launch rather than one narrow slice of it.
What you will own Go-to-Market strategy
- Own the full pre-launch, launch, and post-launch go-to-market plan across both app stores, including timeline, channels, and budget allocation.
- Define positioning and messaging for our core audiences fathers, sons, and father figures and translate the product’s emotional value into clear, resonant copy.
- Track competitors and adjacent apps (e.g. Paired) to sharpen our differentiation and find gaps we can own.
Social media & content
- Plan and produce a consistent content engine across Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X from idea to publish.
- Create short-form video, reels, carousels, and written copy that speaks authentically to fathers and sons; you can both write the hook and cut the clip.
- Manage the community: respond, engage, and turn early users into advocates.
What we are looking for
- Worked in growth, social, or content marketing ideally for a consumer mobile app or D2C brand.
- A track record of launching or scaling a product, app, or audience that you can show us.
- Hands-on content creation skills: you can shoot and edit short-form video and design graphics without waiting on a separate team.
- Strong writing and storytelling instincts, especially for emotionally resonant, family-oriented topics.
- A builder’s mindset: comfortable with ambiguity, fast iteration, and wearing multiple hats at an early stage.
Nice to have
- Familiarity marketing AI-powered products and explaining them simply.
- Working knowledge of tools like CapCut, Premiere, Canva, Figma, and modern social scheduling and analytics platforms.
- Experience running influencer or creator partnership campaigns.
