CNC Operator cum Setter – ITI Machinist

Job Summary
We are looking for skilled CNC Operator cum Setters with hands-on experience in CNC machine operation and setting. The candidate should be capable of independently setting machines, handling tooling, making offsets, reading engineering drawings, and ensuring quality production.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and set CNC machines as per production requirements.
- Perform machine setting, tool setting and tool offset adjustments.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and job specifications.
- Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures and machining parameters.
- Load and edit CNC programs as required.
- Perform first-piece inspection and in-process quality checks.
- Use Vernier Caliper, Micrometer, Height Gauge and other measuring instruments.
- Monitor machine performance and maintain production targets.
- Identify and rectify basic machining and setting-related issues.
- Replace cutting tools and make necessary offset corrections.
- Maintain dimensional accuracy and minimize rejection/rework.
- Follow production schedules, quality standards, 5S and safety procedures.
- Maintain machine, tooling and production-related records.
Required Skills
- Strong hands-on knowledge of CNC machine operation and setting.
- Knowledge of tool offsets, work offsets and tool changes.
- Ability to read engineering drawings.
- Knowledge of machining processes and cutting tools.
- Good knowledge of measuring instruments.
- Basic CNC programming/editing knowledge will be an advantage.
- Ability to work independently and achieve production targets.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
