Role Summary
We are hiring a skilled Tool Room Operator responsible for maintenance, repair, and handling of tools, dies, and fixtures used in production. The role requires precision work, machine handling, and tool upkeep to ensure smooth manufacturing operations.
NOTE - Only candidates with hands-on experience in tool room machines (lathe/milling/grinding) and tool maintenance will be considered.
Key Responsibilities
1. Tool Maintenance & Handling
- Maintain and repair tools, dies, jigs, and fixtures
- Ensure tools are production-ready at all times
- Perform tool fitting, adjustment, and alignment
2. Machine Operations
- Operate tool room machines such as:
- Lathe
- Milling
- Grinding
- Drilling machines
- Perform precision machining as required
3. Preventive Maintenance
- Conduct regular inspection of tools
- Follow preventive maintenance schedules
- Ensure proper tool storage and handling
4. Troubleshooting
- Identify and fix tool-related issues during production
- Support production team in reducing downtime
5. Quality & Safety
- Ensure tools meet quality standards
- Follow safety practices in tool room
- Maintain proper documentation and records
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of:
- Tool room operations
- Machine handling (lathe, milling, grinding)
- Tool fitting & alignment
- Ability to read basic engineering drawings
- Good troubleshooting ability
Qualification
- ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or Tool & Die
Experience
- 3–8 years in tool room / maintenance role
- Experience in manufacturing setup preferred
Work Conditions
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹500,000.00 per year
