Counter Staff — World of Mysore Pak
Overview
World of Mysore Pak is seeking friendly, dependable Counter Staff to deliver an exceptional in-store experience at our sweet shop. You will be the face of our brand—greeting customers, guiding them through our products, handling billing, and ensuring the counter area runs smoothly.
Key Responsibilities
- Customer Service
- Greet customers, understand their preferences, and recommend products (classic Mysore Pak, ghee-rich variants, gift packs, seasonal sweets).
- Provide accurate product information on ingredients, freshness, shelf life, and allergens.
- Handle tasting/sampling where applicable and maintain brand standards at the counter.
- Sales and Billing
- Take and pack orders neatly, upsell add-ons and gift options.
- Operate POS/cash register, process cash, UPI/cards, and generate invoices.
- Reconcile cash and receipts; maintain daily sales records.
- Inventory & Display
- Monitor stock levels at the counter; request replenishment on time.
- Ensure accurate product labeling (price, weight, batch/date).
- Maintain attractive, hygienic displays and follow FIFO for freshness.
- Hygiene & Compliance
- Follow food safety and hygiene SOPs at all times.
- Keep the counter, packing tools, and weighing scales clean and calibrated.
- Adhere to company policies for returns, exchanges, and customer grievances.
- Coordination
- Work with kitchen/production for special orders and refills.
- Support online/pickup order handovers and festive rush management.
- Assist with promotions, sampling events, and festive gift hampers.
Qualifications
- Minimum 10th Pass.
- 0–2 years of retail/hospitality or counter sales experience preferred; freshers with strong customer skills are welcome.
- Basic math and POS handling; familiarity with UPI/card payments.
- Clear communication in Kannada and basic English/Hindi preferred.
Skills and Attributes
- Customer-first attitude with polite, confident communication.
- Attention to detail in packing, billing, and cleanliness.
- Ability to multitask during peak hours and stand for extended periods.
- Trustworthy, punctual, and team-oriented.
Work Schedule
- Full-time; typical shift 7 AM – 3 PM, 1PM - 10PM or as rostered, including weekends/festive seasons.
Location
- Mysuru retail outlets of World of Mysore Pak.
Compensation and Benefits
- Salary: Typically in the ₹10,000–₹15,000 per month range for counter roles locally; final offer as per experience and store/location.
- Incentives on sales performance during festive seasons may apply.
- Uniform and on-the-job training provided.
Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
