Position: Dean

Job Description
The Dean is the academic and administrative head of the Faculty and is responsible for providing strategic leadership in teaching, research, academic development, faculty management, student affairs, quality assurance, and institutional development.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide academic and administrative leadership to the Faculty.
- Implement the University's academic policies, regulations, strategic plans, and decisions.
- Develop the Faculty's academic and research vision in accordance with the University's strategic objectives.
- Supervise Heads of Departments and coordinate academic activities across departments.
- Oversee teaching, learning, examinations, assessment, and academic standards.
- Review and develop academic programmes, curricula, courses, and new programme proposals.
- Promote research, publications, innovation, consultancy, patents, and externally funded projects.
- Encourage national and international academic collaborations and partnerships.
- Lead faculty recruitment, workload allocation, performance evaluation, promotion, and professional development.
- Monitor student admissions, academic progress, retention, discipline, and welfare.
- Ensure compliance with accreditation, quality assurance, statutory, and University requirements.
- Coordinate accreditation and external academic review processes.
- Manage Faculty resources, infrastructure, laboratories, libraries, and academic facilities.
- Prepare and monitor the Faculty's annual academic and financial plans.
- Chair Faculty-level academic committees and participate in University-level committees.
- Maintain effective communication between the Faculty, departments, students, and University administration.
- Represent the Faculty at University, government, professional, industry, and academic forums.
- Submit regular academic, research, financial, and administrative reports to the Vice-Chancellor/competent authority.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Vice-Chancellor or competent authority.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ph.D. in an appropriate/relevant discipline from a recognized university or institution.
- Strong academic, teaching, and research record.
- Publications in recognized peer-reviewed journals appropriate to the discipline.
- Demonstrated experience in academic leadership and administration.
- Experience in curriculum development, quality assurance, accreditation, research management, and faculty administration is desirable.
Preferred Experience
Candidates with experience as Professor, Head of Department, Associate Dean, Dean, Director, or equivalent senior academic/administrative position will be preferred.

Job Description
The Associate Dean will assist the Dean in providing academic and administrative leadership to the Faculty/School. The position will support academic planning, faculty development, research, student affairs, quality assurance, accreditation, and implementation of University policies.
Major Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist the Dean in the overall academic and administrative management of the Faculty.
- Coordinate academic activities among departments and programmes.
- Assist in curriculum development, revision, and implementation.
- Monitor teaching, learning, examinations, assessment, and academic quality.
- Coordinate faculty workload, timetables, academic planning, and programme delivery.
- Assist with recruitment, induction, appraisal, promotion, and professional development of faculty members.
- Promote research, publications, innovation, consultancy, and academic collaborations.
- Support student academic advising, progression, retention, and welfare.
- Assist in accreditation, quality assurance, ranking, and institutional assessment activities.
- Coordinate Faculty-level committees and academic meetings as assigned.
- Assist the Dean in preparation and monitoring of Faculty budgets and resources.
- Coordinate with Heads of Departments, Programme Coordinators, and administrative units.
- Prepare academic and administrative reports for the Dean.
- Act on behalf of the Dean when formally delegated.
- Undertake designated portfolios such as Academics, Research, Student Affairs, International Relations, Quality Assurance, Accreditation, or Industry Collaboration.
- Perform other duties assigned by the Dean/Vice-Chancellor/competent authority.
Minimum Qualifications
- Ph.D. in a relevant discipline from a recognized university or institution.
- Strong teaching, research, and academic record.
- Relevant experience in a recognized university or higher-education institution.
- Demonstrated ability to undertake academic administration and leadership responsibilities.
Preferred Experience
Experience as Professor, Associate Professor, Assistant Professor, Head of Department, Programme Coordinator, Deputy Dean, Associate Dean, or equivalent academic/administrative position will be considered an advantage.
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹150,000.00 per month
