Job Purpose:
The Duty Medical Officer (DMO) is responsible for providing continuous medical coverage, attending to patient care needs, managing emergencies, assisting consultants, and ensuring smooth functioning of hospital services during duty hours.
Key Responsibilities:
Ø Patient Care & Clinical Duties
Ø Provide round-the-clock medical coverage and emergency care to patients.
Ø Perform initial assessment, diagnosis, and stabilization of patients in ER/OPD/ICU/wards.
Ø Attend to inpatient and outpatient complaints, ensuring timely management.
Ø Monitor patient condition and update consultants regularly.
Ø Assist senior doctors and specialists during procedures, surgeries, and critical care.
Ø Maintain accurate medical records, case notes, and treatment plans.
Emergency Management
Ø Handle all medical and surgical emergencies promptly.
Ø Initiate life-saving measures (CPR, intubation, IV line insertion, etc.) when required.
Ø Ensure timely referral and coordination with consultants for advanced care.
Administrative & Coordination
Ø Supervise and guide nursing staff, paramedics, and technicians.
Ø Coordinate patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
Ø Ensure compliance with hospital policies, NABH/NABL standards, and medical ethics.
Ø Communicate with patient families regarding condition updates (as per hospital protocol).
Ø Report medico-legal cases to appropriate authorities.
Documentation & Reporting
Ø Maintain case sheets, progress notes, and treatment records accurately.
Ø Document patient histories, examination findings, and diagnostic results.
Ø Prepare daily patient reports and handover notes to the next duty doctor.

Ø Familiarity with hospital information systems (HIS/EMR).
Qualifications & Experience:
Ø MBBS degree from a recognized university.
Ø Valid registration with Medical Council of India / State Medical Council.
Ø BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) certification preferred.
Ø 0–5 years of clinical experience (fresh graduates may be considered).
Work Conditions:
Ø Rotational shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Ø Exposure to emergencies, critical cases, and infectious diseases.
Ø Must be available on-call as required.
Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹70,000.00 per month
