Product Developer – Mobile Accessories (R&D)

Job Summary
Rocklight is looking for an experienced Product Developer – Mobile Accessories (R&D) who has hands-on experience in developing and improving mobile accessory products such as Mobile Chargers, Charging Cables, Car Chargers, Power Banks, Earphones, TWS, and related accessories.
The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of product design, component selection, testing, quality improvement, and vendor coordination to develop innovative, reliable, and cost-effective products.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop new mobile accessory products from concept to production.
- Research market trends, competitor products, and emerging technologies.
- Design and improve chargers, charging cables, power banks, TWS, and other mobile accessories.
- Select suitable components based on performance, safety, and cost.
- Coordinate with OEM/ODM manufacturers and suppliers for product development.
- Prepare product specifications, BOM (Bill of Materials), and technical documentation.
- Conduct product testing, validation, and reliability testing.
- Ensure compliance with BIS, CE, RoHS, and other applicable quality and safety standards.
- Analyze product failures and implement corrective improvements.
- Work closely with the QC, Purchase, Sales, and Marketing teams during product launches.
- Visit factories/vendors whenever required for product inspection and development.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of mobile chargers, charging cables, adapters, power banks, TWS, and related accessories.
- Understanding of PCB, ICs, batteries, connectors, USB Type-C, Lightning, Micro USB, PD, QC, and fast charging technologies.
- Knowledge of product testing equipment and quality standards.
- Experience in BOM preparation and product costing.
- Good communication and vendor management skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Qualification
- Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
- Additional certification in Product Development or Electronics is an advantage.
Experience
- 3–7 years of experience in R&D/Product Development of Mobile Accessories.
- Experience working with OEM/ODM manufacturers is preferred.
- Experience in developing products for brands will be an added advantage.
Preferred Candidate
- Strong technical knowledge of fast-charging technologies.
- Experience in launching successful mobile accessory products.
- Ability to independently manage complete product development projects.
- Passion for innovation and continuous product improvement.
Pay: From ₹30,000.00 per month
