Position: HR & Payroll Manager
Location: Hirakud, Sambalpur, Odisha
Employment Type: Full-Time
Salary: Up to 50,000 per Month

Job Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and result-oriented HR & Payroll Manager to oversee end-to-end Human Resources and Payroll operations for a workforce of 500+ employees. The ideal candidate should possess strong expertise in payroll processing, statutory compliance, employee lifecycle management, industrial relations, and HR administration within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
The candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate payroll processing, maintaining statutory compliance, managing employee records, and supporting overall HR operations while adhering to company policies and labor regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Management
- Manage and process monthly payroll for 500+ employees accurately and within timelines.
- Verify attendance, overtime, leave records, salary revisions, incentives, and deductions.
- Handle Full & Final Settlements (F&F) for exiting employees.
- Generate payroll MIS reports and salary-related analytics.
- Coordinate with Finance for payroll reconciliation and accounting entries.
HR Operations
- Manage employee onboarding, induction, confirmations, transfers, and exit formalities.
- Maintain employee records, HR documentation, and personnel files.
- Support recruitment and manpower planning activities.
- Implement HR policies, procedures, and employee engagement initiatives.
- Address employee grievances and maintain a positive work environment.
Statutory Compliance
- Ensure compliance with PF, ESIC, PT, TDS, Bonus, Gratuity, Labour Welfare Fund, and other applicable labor laws.
- Coordinate statutory audits and inspections.
- Prepare and submit statutory returns and compliance reports within deadlines.
- Monitor labor law updates and ensure organizational compliance.
Industrial Relations
- Maintain healthy employee and worker relations.
- Coordinate with contractors and ensure compliance for contract labor.
- Support disciplinary procedures and grievance handling.
- Assist management in maintaining a productive and compliant industrial workforce.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Commerce, Business Administration, Finance, or related discipline.
- MBA/PGDM in HR or equivalent qualification preferred.
- Strong knowledge of payroll systems, labor laws, and statutory compliance.
- Proficiency in HRMS, ERP systems, and Advanced MS Excel.
Experience Required
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in HR and Payroll Management.
- Must have experience handling payroll and HR operations for 500+ employees.
- Experience in Manufacturing, Engineering, Steel, Power, Construction, Mining, or Industrial Sector is mandatory.
- Experience managing statutory compliance and industrial workforce administration is essential.
