Mango Giraffe is a creative technology company working with production houses to integrate AI into real filmmaking pipelines.
We combine filmmaking, generative AI and workflow design to help studios build hybrid production systems that meet mainstream cinema standards.
We are currently working with one of Karnataka’s largest production houses on a major feature film, along with several other projects in development.
We are building a team that can solve complex creative and technical filmmaking problems and deliver work that feels like cinema, not AI content.
What We Are Looking For
We are looking for an AI filmmaker who understands cinema as a complete discipline.
This is not a role for people limited to ads, reels or isolated AI-generated visuals.
You should understand storytelling, performance, cinematography, editing, sound and emotional structure. You should think in scenes and sequences, not individual shots.
The output must feel like cinema, not a collection of AI-generated clips.
Who You Should Be
You should be able to take a project from idea to final film.
You should have:
- Strong understanding of cinema and visual storytelling
- Ability to design scenes, camera movement, performance and composition
- Understanding of continuity in character, lighting, costume and environment
- Experience building complete film projects, not just experiments or images
- 1–3 years of filmmaking or AI filmmaking experience
- A portfolio showing work you personally developed end-to-end
AI and Technical Understanding
You should understand how generative image and video models behave and how to control them.
You should be comfortable working with tools like Seedance, Kling and similar platforms.
You should understand:
- How prompts affect image and video output
- How references and multimodal inputs influence results
- How to control character, motion, camera and continuity
- How to diagnose whether issues come from prompt, reference, workflow or model limits
- How to choose the right model for a specific cinematic need
- How to combine multiple tools instead of relying on one
You will also work with the technical team to test and develop new workflows when needed.
We do not expect perfect knowledge. We expect curiosity and the ability to figure things out systematically.
Iteration and Ownership
AI filmmaking is iterative. A single scene may require multiple attempts, tools and approaches. We value outcome over iteration count.
You should be willing to:
- Iterate until the result works
- Understand why outputs fail
- Change workflows when prompts are not enough
- Work with the technical team to solve limitations
- Try new tools when needed
- Rebuild shots when required
- Take responsibility for final quality
Role Expectations
You will be expected to:
- Translate briefs into cinematic sequences
- Create shot breakdowns, storyboards and visual plans
- Write and refine prompts for image and video models
- Maintain visual and narrative continuity
- Direct camera, performance, staging and pacing
- Test models and workflows for specific problems
- Collaborate with filmmakers, editors and technical teams
- Edit generated footage into coherent scenes
- Take projects from concept to final delivery
- Respond to feedback and iterate quickly
What We Are Not Looking For
- People limited to ads, reels or AI content experiments
- People who can generate shots but not build scenes
- People who understand tools but not cinema
- People who give up after a few iterations
- People who judge work by iteration count instead of outcome
- People who rely on one workflow or tool
- People who expect AI to make creative decisions for them
- People who need step-by-step instructions for everything
- People who accept weak results due to model limits
- People who follow AI trends without storytelling understanding
- People who cannot complete and deliver finished work
- People who resist feedback or avoid revisions
- People looking for casual or short-term work
Time Commitment and Compensation
This is a full-time role. You will be expected to work consistently, participate in discussions and deliver on deadlines.
Some stages may require additional availability during production peaks.
Compensation depends on your work quality, portfolio, filmmaking ability, and ownership. We are open to strong pay for consistently high-quality cinematic output.
Exact working hours, location and compensation will be discussed during the selection process.
Location: Remote or Bangalore (whichever is preferred)
How to Apply
Please submit:
- Portfolio or showreel, plus at least one complete film or sequence you created end-to-end, and your role in each project
- Tools you use (including AI and editing tools), and one example of a difficult shot and how you solved it
- Location and availability, and your current or expected compensation
- A short note on why you are a filmmaker, not just an AI content creator
Applications with only isolated images, reels or disconnected AI outputs may not be considered.
Pay: From ₹50,000.00 per month
Application Question(s):
- Are you comfortable iterating repeatedly, testing different prompts, references, models and workflows until the required cinematic outcome is achieved?
- How many years of relevant experience do you have in filmmaking or AI filmmaking?
- Have you independently created or substantially contributed to a complete film or cinematic sequence, not just isolated AI-generated shots?
Work Location: Remote
