Key Responsibilities
- Administer and manage Windows Server (2016/2019/2022) and Linux (RHEL, CentOS, Ubuntu) environments.
- Design, implement, and maintain High Availability (HA) solutions for critical applications.
- Configure and manage Windows Failover Clustering and Linux clustering solutions (Pacemaker, Corosync).
- Ensure zero/minimal downtime through redundancy, failover, and load balancing strategies.
- Manage Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and Group Policy.
- Perform system installations, upgrades, patching, and lifecycle management.
- Implement backup and disaster recovery (DR) strategies including replication and failover testing.
- Monitor infrastructure health and proactively address performance bottlenecks.
- Manage virtualization platforms (VMware / Hyper-V) with HA configurations.
- Automate routine administrative tasks using PowerShell, Bash, or Python.
- Collaborate with application, database, and network teams for HA architecturedesign.
- Maintain detailed documentation for HA setups, failover procedures, and SOPs.
Required Skills
- Strong expertise in Windows and Linux Core Administration.
- Hands-on experience in:
- Windows Failover Clustering
- Linux HA tools (Pacemaker, Corosync, Keepalived)
- Knowledge of load balancing technologies (NLB, HAProxy, etc.).
- Experience with storage clustering / shared storage (SAN, NAS).
- Solid understanding of DR concepts (RPO, RTO, replication).
- Experience in virtualization HA (VMware HA, DRS, vMotion).
- Strong troubleshooting skills for complex clustered environments.
- Knowledge of networking concepts related to HA (VIPs, failover IPs).
