Job Summary
Hindustan Iron & Sponge Pvt. Ltd. is seeking an experienced and result-oriented Shift Incharge – Power Plant Operations to oversee shift activities, ensure smooth plant operation, and achieve production targets while maintaining safety and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and control day-to-day power plant operations during the assigned shift.
- Monitor operational parameters of Boilers, Turbines, Generators, and auxiliary equipment.
- Ensure uninterrupted power generation and optimum plant performance.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams for preventive and breakdown maintenance.
- Lead shift manpower and ensure discipline, safety, and productivity.
- Analyze operational issues and take corrective actions.
- Maintain shift logs, reports, and operational records.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and statutory regulations.
- Monitor fuel consumption and operational efficiency.
- Handover and takeover of shifts as per standard operating procedures.
Eligibility Criteria
- Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or related discipline.
- Minimum 5–10 years of experience in Power Plant Operations.
- Experience in WHRB, AFBC, CFBC Boilers, Turbine Operations, and Power Generation Systems.
- Experience in Sponge Iron, Steel, Cement, or Captive Power Plants will be preferred.
Required Skills
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Knowledge of power plant operational procedures and safety standards.
- Ability to handle emergencies and troubleshooting.
- Good communication and reporting skills.
- Proficiency in operational data analysis and shift management.
Pay: ₹35,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month
