Design Engineer – Agriculture Machinery
Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Design Engineer with experience in the agriculture machinery industry. The candidate will be responsible for designing and developing agricultural equipment such as rotavators, seeders, mulchers, cultivators, laser land levelers, and other farm implements. The candidate must have strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, sheet metal, assemblies, and agricultural equipment design.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop agriculture machinery and farm equipment.
- Prepare 2D drawings, 3D models, and BOMs using CAD software.
- Work on machine improvement, modification, and new product development.
- Coordinate with production, quality, and purchase departments for smooth manufacturing.
- Ensure product designs are cost-effective and production-friendly.
- Perform design validation and troubleshooting of machinery issues.
- Knowledge of fabrication, sheet metal, gearbox fitting, and assembly processes.
- Maintain technical documentation and design records.
- Visit shop floor for production support and design implementation.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of agriculture machinery design.
- Proficiency in SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar CAD software.
- Understanding of fabrication drawings and manufacturing processes.
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems and transmission systems preferred.
- Good problem-solving and communication skills.
Qualification
- B.Tech / Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience
- 2–6 Years experience in agriculture machinery industry only.
Salary
- Salary: ₹20,000 – ₹45,000 per month (depending on experience and skills).
Preferred Industry
- Agriculture Machinery / Farm Equipment Manufacturing only.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
