Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Sewing Machine Operator (SMO) Trainer to conduct training programs and develop practical skills among candidates. The ideal candidate should possess strong knowledge of garment production, fashion industry practices, embroidery techniques, and handicraft-based product development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver training in Sewing Machine Operation as per industry standards.
- Provide practical and theoretical knowledge related to garment construction and apparel manufacturing.
- Train candidates in various embroidery techniques, stitching methods, and garment finishing.
- Conduct creative activities related to handicrafts, fabric decoration, and value-added products.
- Develop trainees' skills in producing market-oriented products.
- Monitor trainee progress and maintain training records.
- Support assessments, certification activities, and placement initiatives.
- Ensure proper utilization and maintenance of training equipment and machines.
Required Qualifications and Skills:
- Certified in Sewing Machine Operator (SMO), Fashion Design, Apparel Manufacturing, or a related field.
- Minimum 2–3 years of relevant experience.
- Strong knowledge of the fashion and garment industry.
- Hands-on experience in various embroidery techniques and decorative stitching.
- Knowledge of handicrafts, creative product development, and fabric-based craft activities.
- Experience in garment production units or running/working with a boutique will be preferred.
- Good communication and training skills.
- Experience in the Skill Development sector will be an added advantage.
Preferred:
- Prior experience as a trainer in skill development projects.
- Experience in government or CSR-funded training programs.
- Knowledge of assessment and certification processes.
Pay: Up to ₹25,000.00 per month
