About the Role
We are looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Accountant to manage the day-to-day financial operations of the company. The ideal candidate will handle bookkeeping, statutory compliance, and financial reporting, while supporting project-level cost tracking relevant to a construction/design-build business environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate books of accounts (purchases, sales, receipts, payments, journal entries) using accounting software.
- Prepare and reconcile bank statements, ledgers, and petty cash on a regular basis
- Process vendor and subcontractor invoices, verify bills against work completed/materials supplied, and manage timely payments
- Track project-wise expenses and budgets, coordinating with site engineers/project coordinators for cost updates
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow)
- Coordinate with external auditors and consultants for audits, tax filings, and compliance reviews
- Maintain proper documentation for all financial transactions and ensure audit-readiness
Required Qualifications
- 4+ years of relevant accounting experience
- Proficiency in Tally ERP/Tally Prime and MS Excel; familiarity with cloud accounting tools is an advantage
- Good understanding of project-based accounting and cost tracking
Preferred Skills
- Experience working with construction firms, contractors, or design-build companies
- Familiarity with BOQ (Bill of Quantities), running account bills, and retention accounting
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- High attention to detail and integrity in handling financial data
- Good communication skills to coordinate with site teams, vendors, and management
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
