Role Overview:
The Mobile Site Access Planning Engineer will be responsible for designing and implementing connectivity solutions for mobile sites - Planning, commissioning and supervision of the implementation of complex trail planning in the mobile network segment.
This role involves leveraging licensed and proprietary fiber access, planning cell site gateways, and ensuring optimal technology and bandwidth utilization for seamless connectivity to the nearest network Hub.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and plan transmission networks for Access and Core layers to support full-IP RAN network elements in mobile networks.
- Ensure optimal switching architecture for IP-based RAN elements.
- Perform feasibility checks in Cramer Mobile/Fixed systems & prepare and maintain BTN readiness documentation.
- Ensure timely completion of validation and circuit build activities for Mobile Trail Planning.
- Coordinate with multiple stakeholders to meet SLA targets.
- Communicate updates via email and Ticketing system to relevant teams.
- Determine SFP module variants for connection points.
- Report quality issues and complications via SPOC during and after implementation.
- Perform capacity evaluations for bandwidth upgrades (e.g., 10GE upgrades for RAN TX, MW).
- Collaborate with partners for effective utilization of tail circuits, hardware resources, and infrastructure.
- Monitor quality and performance during live network implementation.
Skills and other Qualities:
- Strong knowledge of IP-based transmission networks, MPLS, and RAN architecture.
- Experience with Fixed Cramer, Mobile Cramer, Ticketing systems, Remedy
- SDH/DWDM, Ethernet over SDH Technology and Platform knowledge
- Ability to perform feasibility checks, capacity planning, and commissioning activities
- Proficient with Microsoft Office applications & Effective Communication Skills - Written & Verbal
- Coordination skills and taking the right approach logically
- Exposure to International client facing functions
