Role Overview
The WE Foundation is looking for a creative and detail-oriented Data Analyst, who is responsible for transforming raw data into meaningful insights that support strategic planning, program implementation, and organizational decision-making. The role involves collecting, cleaning, validating, analysing, and interpreting data from multiple sources to identify trends, measure performance, and generate actionable recommendations. The Data Analyst will use statistical and analytical tools such as SPSS and STATA, along with advanced Excel and data visualization platforms, to prepare reports, dashboards, and presentations for internal teams and external stakeholders. The ideal candidate should have strong analytical, statistical, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex findings in a clear and concise manner while ensuring data accuracy, quality, and confidentiality.
Key Responsibilities
Data Analysis & Statistical Modelling
· Conduct quantitative and qualitative data analysis using SPSS, STATA, and other statistical software.
· Perform descriptive and inferential statistical analyses, including regression, hypothesis testing, correlation, and trend analysis.
· Interpret complex datasets to identify patterns, trends, and actionable insights that support organizational goals.
Data Collection & Management
· Collect, compile, clean, validate, and manage data from multiple sources to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency.
· Design and maintain databases, datasets, and data management systems for efficient storage and retrieval.
· Ensure data quality through regular verification, validation, and quality assurance processes.
Reporting & Data Visualization
· Prepare analytical reports, dashboards, scorecards, and presentations for management, clients, and stakeholders.
· Present findings in a clear, concise, and visually appealing manner using charts, graphs, and data visualization tools.
· Generate periodic and ad hoc reports to support project monitoring, evaluation, and decision-making.
Monitoring, Evaluation & Research Support
· Support monitoring and evaluation (M&E) activities by analysing program and project data.
· Assist in designing survey questionnaires, data collection tools, and sampling methodologies.
· Conduct data validation, statistical testing, and impact assessments for research and evaluation studies.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Support
· Work closely with program teams, researchers, and management to understand data requirements and provide analytical support.
· Translate complex analytical findings into actionable recommendations for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
· Provide technical guidance on data collection, analysis methodologies, and statistical techniques.
Qualifications
· Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, Computer Science, Business Analytics, Social Sciences, Public Health, or a related quantitative field.
· Freshers or candidates with up to 1 year of experience in data analysis, statistical research, monitoring & evaluation (M&E), business intelligence, or a similar analytical role.
Required Skills
· Proficiency in SPSS and STATA for data management, statistical analysis, and interpretation.
· Strong knowledge of descriptive and inferential statistics, including regression analysis, hypothesis testing, correlation, ANOVA, and predictive modelling.
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including Pivot Tables, Power Query, advanced formulas, charts, and data analysis tools.
· Experience with SQL for data extraction, querying, and database management.
· Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or other data visualization tools for creating interactive dashboards and reports.
· Working knowledge of R* or Python* for statistical analysis, data automation, and predictive analytics is an added advantage.
· Knowledge of research methodologies, survey design, sampling techniques, and Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) frameworks.
