Job Title: Pastry & Bakery Cook
About the Role:
Crest is looking for a passionate and skilled Pastry & Bakery Cook to join our growing team in Chennai. If you have an eye for detail, a love for artisan techniques, and thrive in a fast-paced kitchen, we want to meet you!
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Preparing a variety of high-quality baked goods, including breads, artisan flatbreads, and signature pastries.
- Assisting in the creation of our trending dessert menu, including Basque cheesecakes, eclairs, and chocolate-based delicacies.
- Maintaining consistent quality, presentation, and hygiene standards.
- Managing inventory and ensuring fresh production for daily sales and B2B orders.
- Collaborating with the team during high-traffic periods, especially during festive seasons like Ramadan.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experience: 1 to 2 years of professional experience in a pastry/bakery kitchen.
- Skillset: Proficiency in dough handling, oven management (specifically deck ovens), and pastry assembly.
- Passion: A creative mindset and a commitment to "Artisan" quality.
- Reliability: Ability to work early morning or evening shifts as required.
- Education: Relevant culinary training is a plus, but a strong portfolio and proven experience are our priorities.
