Project Overview
We are looking for an experienced Data Center Sizing, Design & Architecture Consultant to lead the end-to-end planning and architecture of enterprise-grade data center infrastructure. The consultant will be responsible for assessing current and future business workloads, analyzing infrastructure requirements, and designing a scalable, highly available, secure, and cost-optimized data center solution.
This is a project-based freelance assignment for professionals with strong experience in enterprise infrastructure, cloud integration, virtualization, storage, networking, security, and capacity planning.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess current IT infrastructure, applications, and business workloads.
- Analyze compute, storage, network, backup, and security requirements.
- Perform workload sizing and capacity planning based on current and projected business growth.
- Design enterprise-grade data center architecture (On-Premises, Hybrid Cloud, or Multi-Cloud).
- Recommend server, storage, networking, virtualization, backup, and disaster recovery solutions.
- Define High Availability (HA), Business Continuity (BC), and Disaster Recovery (DR) strategies.
- Design network topology, rack layouts, power requirements, cooling, and redundancy.
- Recommend virtualization platforms (VMware, Hyper-V, Nutanix, OpenStack, Proxmox, etc.).
- Evaluate security architecture including firewalls, segmentation, IAM, backup security, and monitoring.
- Prepare detailed infrastructure sizing reports, architecture diagrams, BoQ (Bill of Quantities), and implementation roadmap.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize performance, scalability, availability, and cost.

Compensation
- Project Fee: ₹1,00,000 – ₹2,00,000 (based on project complexity, scope, and deliverables)
- Payment can be milestone-based against agreed deliverables.
This role is ideal for senior infrastructure architects or independent consultants who have successfully designed and implemented enterprise data centers and can provide a comprehensive architecture from workload assessment through implementation planning.
Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹200,000.00 per month
