We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Accounts Officer for our automobile dealership operations. The candidate will be responsible for handling accounting activities, financial reporting, statutory compliance, dealership accounting processes, and supporting overall financial management of the organization. The ideal candidate should have experience in the automobile industry and strong knowledge of accounting procedures and taxation.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day accounting operations of the dealership
Handle vehicle billing, purchase entries, and stock accounting
Monitor accounts payable and receivable activities
Prepare monthly financial statements, MIS reports, and management reports
Perform bank reconciliation and ledger scrutiny
Ensure proper accounting of workshop, spare parts, and vehicle sales transactions
Handle GST, TDS, Income Tax, and other statutory compliance activities
Coordinate with auditors for internal and statutory audits
Monitor cash flow, expenses, and budget control
Verify incentive claims, warranty claims, and dealer reimbursements
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation
Support management with financial analysis and reporting
Supervise junior accounts staff and ensure smooth workflow
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, or Finance
Minimum 4–6 years of accounting experience, preferably in automobile dealerships
Strong knowledge of dealership accounting procedures
Proficiency in Tally, MS Excel, and ERP/accounting software
Good knowledge of GST, TDS, and financial regulations
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
M.Com / MBA Finance / CA Inter preferred
Experience in automobile showroom or service industry will be an added advantage
