About the Role
We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented Horticulturist to join our Warehouse Operations team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the health, quality, and readiness of plants before they reach customers, retail stores, and business partners. You will oversee plant care activities, monitor plant health, maintain inventory records, and collaborate with multiple teams to ensure smooth movement and management of nursery stock. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on plant care while also coordinating with different stakeholders across the business.
Key Responsibilities

Oversee plant care activities including propagation, potting, pruning, staking, and maintenance of nursery stock

Monitor plant health and recommend treatments for pests, diseases, and nutrient deficiencies

Coordinate with multiple stakeholders across the Mother Hub, Gardening Services division, Retail team, and E-commerce team to ensure plant availability and quality standards

Monitor irrigation systems, soil conditions, fertilization schedules, and overall growing conditions

Conduct regular inspections to ensure plants are maintained in optimal condition for storage, dispatch, and customer delivery

Maintain accurate plant inventory, stock movement records, and plant labelling

Coordinate procurement requirements related to plants, growing media, fertilizers, and horticultural supplies

Prepare reports and maintain operational records using computer systems

Support warehouse operations by ensuring proper handling, storage, and organization of plant inventory

Ensure compliance with safety, hygiene, and environmental standards
Requirements

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Horticulture, Agriculture, Botany, or a related field
-
2-5 years of relevant experience in horticulture, nursery operations, greenhouse management, or plant production

Strong knowledge of horticulture practices and plant care

Good understanding of pest and disease management, irrigation systems, and plant nutrition

Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Word, and computer systems

Ability to maintain records, reports, and inventory data digitally

Basic knowledge of ERP or inventory management software is preferred

Good communication, coordination, and stakeholder management skills
Format: 6 days a week, On-site
