Job Title: Plant Assistant Manager
Department: Production / Operations
Location: Meerut
Reporting To: Operations Head
Education: Diploma or ITI in Production Engineering
Experience: 1+ years in a manufacturing/production environment
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily production activities to meet output and quality targets.
- Coordinate between departments – mixing, molding, finishing, quality, and dispatch.
- Assist in workforce planning, shift scheduling, and task allocation.
- Monitor machine performance and coordinate with maintenance for repairs and upkeep.
- Maintain records of daily production, downtimes, rejections, and manpower usage.
- Support implementation of 5S, Kaizen, and other lean manufacturing practices.
- Ensure adherence to safety norms and company policies.
- Train and guide shop floor workers and line supervisors.
- Escalate issues to Plant Manager and suggest solutions for process improvement.
Skills & Competencies:
- Good knowledge of production processes and shop floor management.
- Ability to lead and motivate a team of operators and line supervisors.
- Basic understanding of mechanical/electrical equipment and preventive maintenance.
- Problem-solving and decision-making ability.
- Knowledge of quality control tools and documentation (preferred).
- Familiarity with production planning and ERP systems (added advantage).
- Discipline, time management, and attention to detail.
Preferred Industry Experience:
- Rubber components manufacturing
- Automotive parts manufacturing
- Plastic molding or sheet metal industries
