Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Pizzaiolo to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in preparing authentic pizzas, dough making, and baking in wood-fired/deck ovens while maintaining high standards of taste, quality, and hygiene.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and bake pizzas according to company recipes and standards
- Prepare fresh pizza dough, sauces, and toppings
- Manage fermentation process and dough quality
- Operate wood-fired, deck, or conveyor ovens efficiently
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control
- Maintain cleanliness and hygiene as per food safety standards
- Monitor stock levels and assist in inventory control
- Follow FIFO and proper food storage practices
- Work efficiently during peak hours and ensure timely service
Required Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience in authentic Italian pizza preparation
- Knowledge of Neapolitan, Roman, or artisanal pizza styles
- Culinary diploma or relevant certification (optional)
- Proven experience as a Pizzaiolo / Pizza Chef (6months – 2years preferred)
- Strong knowledge of dough preparation and fermentation techniques
- Experience with wood-fired or deck ovens
- Understanding of Italian-style and/or gourmet pizzas
- Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment
- Team player with good time-management skills
