POSITION: VP / AVP/ Manager /Assistant manage – US Mortgage Underwriting
Location: Pune
Work Mode: Work From Office
Shift: (Night Shift)
Working Days: Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage large underwriting teams handling QM and Non-QM mortgage loans.
- Oversee live underwriting operations and ensure adherence to client SLAs and quality benchmarks.
- Provide strategic direction on credit risk assessment, loan eligibility, income analysis, asset review, and collateral evaluation.
- Review complex mortgage scenarios and provide guidance on exceptions and escalations.
- Ensure compliance with agency guidelines, investor requirements, lender overlays, and regulatory standards.
- Drive operational excellence, productivity improvement, and process optimization initiatives.
- Manage client relationships, participate in business reviews, and support business growth initiatives.
- Monitor underwriting quality metrics and implement corrective action plans.
- Lead hiring, training, mentoring, and performance management of underwriting teams.
- Collaborate with Quality Control, Operations, Compliance, and Client Management teams.
- Prepare and present operational MIS, performance dashboards, and business reports to senior leadership.
Requirements:
- 10+ years of US Mortgage Underwriting experience.
- Minimum 3-5 years of team management experience.
- Strong expertise in Live Underwriting, Credit Analysis, Income Calculation, DTI, LTV, Assets, and Collateral Review.
- Extensive knowledge of QM and Non-QM underwriting guidelines.
- Proven leadership and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience handling client interactions and operational governance.
- Strong analytical, communication, and decision-making skills.
