We are seeking a Business Analyst with strong Capital Markets domain expertise to drive analysis, solution design, and delivery for front-, middle-, and back-office initiatives. You will partner with trading, risk, operations, compliance, and technology teams to modernize platforms, improve STP, reduce operational risk, and ensure regulatory compliance across multiple asset classes.

Requirements & Analysis

Elicit, document, and prioritize business requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria across trading, risk, and post-trade processes.

Perform process mapping (BPMN/UML), data flow analysis, and gap assessment of current vs. target state.

Translate business needs into clear functional specifications, data mappings, and interface/API contracts.

Capital Markets Domain Delivery
-
Analyze trade lifecycle events: order capture, execution, allocation, confirmation/affirmation, clearing, settlement, reconciliations, and corporate actions.

Work across asset classes (Equities, Fixed Income, FX, Listed/OTC Derivatives) and related workflows (OMS/EMS, market connectivity, FIX, SWIFT, ISO 20022).

Support risk, pricing, and P&L processes; collaborate with quants/risk teams on data and model integration (e.g., VaR inputs, sensitivities).

Drive reference data, instrument setup, market data sourcing, and golden-source strategies.

Regulatory & Controls

Interpret and embed regulatory requirements (e.g., MiFID II/MiFIR, EMIR, Dodd-Frank, Basel III, CFTC/SEC, SFTR, CAT) into business processes and systems.

Define controls, audit trails, and surveillance/reporting needs; support compliance and audit stakeholders.

Delivery & Stakeholder Management

Facilitate workshops with traders, operations, compliance, technology, and vendors; manage cross-functional alignment.

Maintain product backlogs; support Agile ceremonies; ensure scope, dependencies, and risks are transparent.

Contribute to solution design, prototyping, and vendor evaluations/RFPs; coordinate with OMS/EMS/custody/clearing vendors.

Testing & Change Management

Create test strategies, test cases, and UAT plans; manage defect triage and sign-offs.

Support production readiness, playbooks, SOPs, user training, and go-live hypercare.

Data & Reporting
-
Define reporting requirements (regulatory, risk, client, operational); enable dashboards/BI; ensure data quality and lineage.

5–7 years (mid-level) of Business Analysis experience in Capital Markets at an investment bank, broker-dealer, asset manager, or market infrastructure.

Strong understanding of trade lifecycle, market structure, and at least two asset classes.

Hands-on experience with OMS/EMS, post-trade (clearing/settlement, DTCC/Euroclear/CCPs), and market/data standards (FIX, SWIFT, ISO 20022).

Demonstrated experience delivering regulatory/reporting or risk-related initiatives.

Business Analysis: requirements elicitation, process modeling (BPMN/UML), data modeling, use cases, user stories, acceptance criteria.

Domain: order management, execution, allocations, confirmations/affirmations, clearing/settlement, reconciliations, corporate actions, reference data, and KYC/AML basics.

Regulatory: MiFID II/MiFIR, EMIR, Dodd-Frank, Basel III, SFTR, CAT (exposure to regional equivalents a plus).

Technical: SQL for analysis, Excel (advanced), data mapping, JSON/XML, API concepts; familiarity with FIX/SWIFT messages and ISO 20022 schemas.

Tools: JIRA/Confluence, Visio/Lucidchart, Postman/Swagger; Tableau/Power BI; Git basics; Python/R for analysis a plus.

Delivery: Agile/Scrum, stakeholder management, vendor coordination, documentation excellence, strong communication and presentation skills.
