Job Summary
We are seeking a proactive and experienced Assistant Manager – Human Resources to establish and independently manage the complete HR function from the ground up. The role involves setting up HR processes, employee records, documentation, HR operations, statutory compliance, payroll coordination, administration, and employee welfare initiatives to build a strong and compliant HR framework.
As the organization grows, the role will gradually expand to include recruitment, industrial relations, and other strategic HR initiatives. The ideal candidate should be capable of working independently and partnering closely with the leadership team to build a productive and compliant workplace.
Work Location Requirement
- The role requires working across two office locations, with a regular presence of three working days at each location, as per business requirements.
- Company-provided transportation will be provided for inter-office travel.
Key Responsibilities
1. Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Manage end-to-end recruitment for staff, engineers, supervisors, and workmen.
- Coordinate manpower planning with department heads.
- Source candidates through consultants, job portals, employee referrals, and technical institutes.
- Conduct interviews, negotiate offers, complete reference checks, and ensure seamless onboarding.
2. Employee Onboarding & HR Operations
- Manage the complete employee lifecycle from onboarding to separation.
- Prepare and issue employment-related documents including appointment, confirmation, promotion, transfer, and relieving letters.
- Maintain employee records, personal files, and HRMS data.
- Administer attendance, leave, and employee documentation.
3. Payroll & Compensation Support
- Validate attendance, overtime, shift allowances, and payroll inputs.
- Coordinate monthly payroll processing with internal or external payroll teams.
- Manage Full & Final Settlement, gratuity, leave encashment, and exit documentation.
- Resolve employee payroll-related queries.
4. Statutory Compliance & Labour Law Administration
- Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory regulations.
- Coordinate compliance related to EPF, ESIC, Bonus, Gratuity, Minimum Wages, Payment of Wages, Contract Labour Act, Factories Act, and other applicable legislation.
- Maintain statutory registers, records, and documentation.
- Coordinate inspections by labour authorities and ensure timely compliance.
5. Factory Licences & Government Liaison
- Coordinate renewal and maintenance of statutory licences and registrations.
- Liaise with government authorities for approvals, inspections, and statutory submissions.
- Maintain compliance calendars and ensure timely renewals of all applicable licences and registrations.
6. Industrial Relations
- Maintain healthy employee and workmen relations.
- Address grievances and disciplinary matters.
- Support domestic enquiries and disciplinary proceedings.
- Foster a positive and harmonious work environment.
7. Administration & Facility Management
- Oversee administrative functions including housekeeping, security, canteen, transport, office assets, uniforms, and facility management.
- Coordinate with administrative service providers to ensure smooth day-to-day operations.
8. Contractor & Vendor Management
- Coordinate contract labour documentation and compliance.
- Liaise with manpower agencies and service providers.
- Verify contractor documentation and statutory compliance before processing invoices.
Desired Candidate Profile
- Any Bachelor's Degree (Master's Degree/MBA/PGDM in Human Resources or Personnel Management preferred).
- 4–5 years of HR Generalist experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Hands-on exposure to plant HR, statutory compliance, industrial relations, and labour laws.
- Strong understanding of HR operations, payroll coordination, factory administration, and government compliance, employee data management, and HR documentation.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to maintain HR records, analyse workforce data, prepare HR reports, and support data-driven decision-making.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HRMS.
Pay: ₹750,000.00 - ₹850,000.00 per year
