Commis Chef – Indian Cuisine
Location: Adani Airport Lounge, CSMIA Terminal 2, Mumbai
Job Summary
Semolina Kitchens is looking for a dedicated Commis Chef – Indian Cuisine to join our premium Airport Lounge kitchen. The ideal candidate will assist in preparing authentic Indian dishes while maintaining the highest standards of quality, hygiene, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in the preparation of North Indian, Curry, and Tandoor dishes as assigned.
- Support senior chefs in daily kitchen operations and food production.
- Ensure proper mise en place before service.
- Maintain consistency in food quality, taste, and presentation.
- Follow recipes and standard operating procedures.
- Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards.
- Ensure proper storage of ingredients and follow FIFO practices.
- Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen and workstations.
- Assist during buffet and peak service operations.
- Perform additional duties assigned by senior chefs.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma/Degree in Hotel Management or Culinary Arts.
- 0–2 years of experience in Indian cuisine.
- Freshers with industrial training in reputed hotels are encouraged to apply.
- Basic knowledge of Indian cooking techniques and kitchen operations.
- Willingness to work rotational shifts, including nights.
