Job Summary
The Lubrication Machine Maintenance Technician is responsible for the installation, inspection, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of automatic rail lubrication machines installed on railway track curves. The technician will ensure smooth operation of the machines, minimize downtime, and maintain maintenance records according to company and railway standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Install lubrication machines at designated railway track locations.
- Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance as per maintenance schedule.
- Inspect pumps, motors, grease reservoirs, hoses, nozzles, sensors, batteries, and solar panels (if applicable).
- Refill grease/lubricant and ensure proper lubrication levels.
- Diagnose and repair electrical and mechanical faults.
- Replace defective spare parts and components.
- Maintain daily inspection and maintenance reports.
- Coordinate with Railway officials and Project Managers during maintenance activities.
- Ensure all work complies with railway safety regulations.
- Keep tools, equipment, and work areas clean and organized.
- Attend emergency breakdown calls and restore machine operation promptly.
- Report recurring issues and recommend improvements.
Required Qualifications
- ITI (Fitter/Electrician/Mechanic) or Diploma in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering.
- 1–3 years of experience in machine maintenance (Railway experience preferred).
- Freshers with relevant ITI qualifications may also apply.
Required Skills
- Knowledge of mechanical and electrical maintenance.
- Basic understanding of hydraulic and lubrication systems.
- Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams.
- Troubleshooting and fault-finding skills.
- Basic computer and mobile reporting skills.
- Good communication and teamwork.
- Willingness to travel extensively.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with railway maintenance projects.
- Knowledge of solar-powered lubrication systems.
- Familiarity with preventive maintenance practices.
- Experience in field service operations.
Working Conditions
- Outdoor field work along railway tracks.
- Travel to multiple project locations.
- Day and night maintenance as per project requirements.
- Ability to work in different weather conditions.
Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹18,000.00 per month
