Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical installation, wiring, cable laying, termination, and maintenance works at project sites.
- Install and maintain electrical panels, DBs, lighting systems, power points, and electrical equipment.
- Perform cable dressing, glanding, lugging, and termination as per approved drawings and standards.
- Read and understand electrical drawings, single-line diagrams (SLD), and layouts.
- Conduct testing and basic troubleshooting of electrical systems and equipment.
- Ensure all electrical works are executed as per project specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements.
- Identify electrical faults and carry out necessary rectification works.
- Coordinate with Site Engineers, Supervisors, and other trades for smooth execution of works.
- Ensure proper use and maintenance of electrical tools, equipment, and materials.
- Follow all site safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.
- Maintain daily work progress and report site issues to the Electrical Supervisor / Site Engineer.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of electrical installation and maintenance works.
- Ability to read electrical drawings and wiring diagrams.
- Knowledge of cable laying, termination, earthing, and electrical testing.
- Basic knowledge of electrical safety practices.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a site team.
Qualification
ITI / Diploma in Electrical or equivalent qualification.
Preferred Experience
2–5 years of experience in MEP, EPC, commercial, industrial, or building projects.
