Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced and energetic Restaurant Manager to lead daily operations for a concept bar & restaurant at Kalyaninagar, Pune. The candidate should have strong experience in bar and restaurant operations, guest handling, team management, sales focus, inventory coordination, service standards, and floor supervision.
The ideal candidate should be confident in managing high-volume bar operations, late-night service, guest complaints, staff briefings, billing coordination, upselling, and overall outlet performance. The role requires a hands-on manager who can maintain service quality, control operational issues, and create a smooth guest experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage daily restaurant and bar operations, including lunch, dinner, and late-night service.
- Supervise captains, stewards, bartenders, runners, housekeeping, and support staff.
- Ensure smooth floor operations, table management, guest seating, order flow, service timing, and billing coordination.
- Handle guest complaints professionally and ensure quick resolution.
- Maintain high standards of grooming, hygiene, service, cleanliness, and guest experience.
- Conduct daily staff briefings, duty allocation, training, and service supervision.
- Monitor bar operations, quarter system service flow, stock movement, bottle sales, peg/quarter service standards, and wastage control.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and bar team for timely food and beverage service.
- Drive upselling of food, liquor, cocktails, mocktails, premium bottles, and promotions.
- Monitor daily sales, covers, average per cover, discounts, voids, wastage, and closing reports.
- Support inventory checks, stock control, breakage tracking, and coordination with stores/bar team.
- Ensure compliance with house rules, service SOPs, safety standards, and excise-related operational discipline.
- Manage reservations, walk-ins, guest preferences, VIP guests, and repeat customer relationships.
- Ensure smooth operations during weekends, events, live nights, and high-footfall evenings.
- Report daily operational updates, staff issues, guest feedback, and sales performance to management.
Candidate Requirements:
- Prior experience as Restaurant Manager, Assistant Restaurant Manager, Floor Manager, Bar Manager, or Senior Captain in a bar, lounge, restaurant, hotel, or high-volume F&B outlet.
- Strong knowledge of bar and restaurant service operations.
- Experience in liquor service, bottle service, quarter system, guest handling, and team supervision will be preferred.
- Ability to manage staff, guest complaints, busy service hours, and late-night bar operations.
- Good communication, leadership, problem-solving, and sales skills.
- Should be presentable, disciplined, hands-on, and guest-focused.
- Comfortable with POS, billing coordination, daily reports, and basic inventory controls.
- Willing to work evenings, weekends, public holidays, and late-night shifts.
- Candidate should be currently located in or willing to travel/relocate to Balewadi Highstreet, Pune.
Qualification:
Graduate / Hotel Management qualification preferred.
Relevant restaurant and bar operations experience will be given priority.
