Job Summary
The Placement Executive will be responsible for strengthening industry partnerships, facilitating campus recruitment, coordinating internship opportunities, and enhancing students’ employability. The role requires proactive engagement with corporate organizations, academic departments, and students to achieve placement objectives and build long-term industry relationships.
Key ResponsibilitiesIndustry Relations
- Develop and maintain relationships with recruiters, corporate organizations, startups, and industry partners.
- Identify and onboard new recruiters for campus placements and internships.
- Conduct regular corporate visits to strengthen industry-academia collaboration.
- Coordinate MoUs, industry interactions, guest lectures, and networking events.
Campus Placements
- Plan and execute campus recruitment drives (online and offline).
- Coordinate with recruiters regarding hiring requirements, job descriptions, interview schedules, and selection processes.
- Facilitate pre-placement talks, aptitude tests, group discussions, technical assessments, and interviews.
- Ensure seamless coordination between recruiters, students, faculty, and administrative departments.
- Track offers, joining status, and placement statistics.
Internship Coordination
- Source internship opportunities across various industries.
- Coordinate summer and winter internship programs.
- Monitor internship progress and maintain employer feedback.
Student Career Development
- Guide students on resume preparation, LinkedIn profile optimization, interview preparation, and career planning.
- Organize mock interviews, aptitude training, soft skills sessions, and career development workshops.
- Conduct employability enhancement programs in collaboration with industry experts.
Data Management & Reporting
- Maintain an updated database of students, alumni, recruiters, internships, and placement records.
- Generate periodic MIS reports and placement analytics.
- Prepare reports required for accreditation bodies such as NAAC, NBA, NIRF, and statutory authorities.
- Maintain documentation related to placement activities and corporate engagements.
Event Management
- Organize placement drives, career fairs, industry conclaves, employer engagement programs, and alumni networking events.
- Coordinate logistics for recruiter visits and campus hiring activities.
Qualifications
- MBA / PGDM (HR, Marketing, Business Administration) or Master’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- Bachelor’s degree with relevant experience may also be considered.
Experience
- 2–5 years of experience in Training & Placement, Corporate Relations, HR Recruitment, Business Development, or Campus Hiring.
- Experience in a university, higher education institution, or recruitment consultancy will be preferred.
Required Skills

- Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and Google Workspace.

- Accuracy and timeliness of placement reports.
